Iraq – Baghdad starts twinning projects with Arab, world capitals

Baghdad Mayor Ala Memar has said the city’s major twinning projects with Arab and world countries and capitals are aimed at leveraging their experience in developing their cities in a fast-pace manner and in organizing their financial and human resources to realize the required objectives. Memar added that there are more than 50 projects to develop Baghdad’s infrastructure; nevertheless, he said that the projects require financial budget approvals, highlighting that the Mayoralty of Baghdad is using its special financial allocations is working to rehabilitate the cultural sites and buildings in the Al-Rashid Street to restore its aesthetic looks.
