Iraq- Christians in Baghdad Celebrate the Christmas Eve

127

Christians celebrated Christmas Eve at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church in Baghdad. The Cardinal Louis Sacco, Patriarch of the Chaldean community in Iraq was among those who held Christmas Eve Mass prayer. Prayers called for bringing peace, tolerance, and love between Iraqi nation spectrums as they called for rejecting radicalism. It is worth mentioning that the celebration was remarkably attended by a high number of Muslims along with the country’s national security adviser Qassem Al Araji who underscored the paramount importance of community diversity and unity. The advisor added that Christians have always been part of this country.
