Iraq- University Students in Sulaymaniyah Rallied Against Cutting Off their Financial Allocations

Thousands of university students rallied against cutting off students’ financial allocations, a decision that dates back to 2014. Incensed students blocked main roads as riots and clashes flared up. To disperse protestors, the security forces fired tear gas, causing tens to suffocate almost to death. It is worth mentioning that protests broke out 3 days ago, after students’ grants worth 100-60 thousand were called off. However, the protest drew no attention from the government
