Iraq- The Ministry of Justice Launches a Gallery for Nasiriyah’s Prisoners Artworks
In an attempt to rehabilitate and reintegrate prisoners into society, the Ministry of Justice organized a gallery for prisoners’ artwork. The event, which was attended by security officers and the Iraqi Bar Association, was distinguished for showcasing sculptures, handicraft items, architectural models, and paintings. Prisoners of Nasiriyah Central Prison were trained on various skills and professions. In this respect, the minister of justice underscored the necessity of such a move in helping prisoners reintegrate into society and make a living once they are released. The president of the Iraqi Bar Association called for making the prison an educational and vocational institution where the culture of virtue is the norm
