Young volunteers launched the “Future Visions” center for autistic children and Down syndrome in Raqqa, to house children of different ages, take care of them, teach them life skills, and integrate them with society. The center targets children with autism, Down syndrome, and mental disabilities from the age of 2-17 and it receives children in its headquarters in Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, and Tabqa. The center’s staff consists of male and female volunteers from the people of Raqqa and Deir Ez-Zor who work to rehabilitate and integrate nearly 200 children in the three centers, and the centers receive children despite the limited fund. The center is also ready to train and prepare local cadres for this purpose and provide the community with them through education and training courses for volunteers wishing to extend a helping hand to these children.
