Iraq – First international portrait gallery in Erbil

The city of Erbil in Kurdistan, held the first international portrait gallery, with ninety photographers from across the world participating. The gallery was held in cooperation between the Department of Arts and Formation in the Ministry of Culture in the regional government and the Iraqi Photographers Union in Baghdad, and it displayed several pictures by Iraqi, Arab and foreign artists who represented images of faces that reflect different cultures. The gallery received a large crowd on its first day, demonstrating Kurds’ passion to learn about various cultures.
