Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh inaugurated the Jordanian National Day at the Dubai Exhibition Center as part of Expo 2020 Dubai activities. In his speech, Al-Khasawneh thanked the UAE for providing the opportunity to participate in this important global event, praising the relations between the two countries in all fields. He also stressed that the UAE has become one of Jordan’s main partners in the investment field, pointing to the high volume of trade exchange between the two countries. The Prime Minister noted that the Kingdom’s pavilion at the exhibition under the title “Thresholds of the Future” was designed to reflect a clear picture of Jordan’s most prominent achievements in many economic and social sectors, with a focus on the achievements of youth and women, as well as highlighting the most important tourist and archaeological landmarks and presenting pioneering ideas, projects, plans, and future programs. Al-Khasawneh pointed out that the Kingdom, during its centenary celebrations, stands on the threshold of a new stage to achieve a qualitative leap in the investment and business environment, by preparing for a new investment law that reinforces the legislation and executive decisions adopted by the government previously. The Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation toured the Jordanian pavilion and also visited the Emirates pavilion, where he left a speech in the visitors’ register.
