Syria – Artists and amateurs forum to advance fine art in Qamishli

The Rojava Union of Kurdistan Intellectuals hosted an art workshop for a group of plastic artists at the union’s headquarters in Qamishli, in which 8 artists, both academics and amateurs took part. The artists tried to draw distinctive paintings to display in an exhibition at the end of the workshop to promote fine art in the region, which is experiencing some degradation and decline. They also work on producing 15 paintings at the end of the workshop, representing different topics, depending on each artist and their artistic styles, as long as the painting is on canvas and in oil colors.
