Yemen – More than 50% Yemeni’s Have No Access to Clean Water

The water crisis is aggravating in Taiz governorate as it has been suffering from a stifling water crisis for many years, compounded by war and siege, and the waste of large quantities of water. Taiz governorate is one of the most prone Yemeni governorates for drought, especially with the wide gap in searching for safe drinking water. This matter has worsened in recent years and reached record levels, Citizens are no longer able to store water that can be enough for one month. Officials announced that more than 70% of Yemenis are deprived of the minimum commodities and basic necessities, and about 15 million people (55-60% of the population) do not have access to clean water and hygiene products.
