Iraq – Fears of armed conflict after the election-losing parties’ statements
The statements and language of escalation used by the losing parties following the results of the parliamentary elections enraged the Iraqis. Observers of the internal Iraqi matters were concerned about potential security repercussions as a result of the uncontrolled weapons.
