Iraq – Iraqis voting for a new parliament to start

Citizens began arriving at voting centers in, Baghdad, around 7 a.m. to cast their votes for a new parliament, participation was modest in the early morning hours, but started to rise in the afternoon. The voters stressed that they are voting to change the current political class, and elect independent figures free of partisanship, intending to construct a state capable of providing services and absorbing the momentum of graduate unemployment. Whereas the media denied violations occurred during the voting procedures, explaining that this election is different from the previous one since the security forces did not enforce a curfew, and it may result in some change.
