Jordan – ‘Hydroponic Fodder’: Low Cost Jordanian Experiment

Jordanian ladies in Mafraq Governorate, Jordan where the north Badiah region constitutes the majority of its area, have experimented with growing Azolla plant ‘Duckweed’, which is used as animal feed in areas where crops and water are scarce. Nadia Al-Fakih has launched the idea by proposing it in the bazaar organized by the Directorate of Agriculture in the city; where the Directorate took training and qualifying part to prepare several women of the area under the supervision of Nadia Al-Fakih.
