Last Tuesday, the Yemeni forces destroyed more than (1160) kilograms of drugs and hashish as well as 48 thousand narcotic tablets, seized by the security services in various parts of Hajjah Governorate, which borders Saudi Arabia. According to the First Lieutenant, Amin Abdel Wase’ Noman, around 15 attempts to import cannabis were seized from the beginning of 2020 until the current month of October. Yemen has been engaged in a bloody conflict for seven years, between the internationally recognized government and the armed Houthi movement which controls Sanaa and most of the northern Yemeni governorates by force of arms. Regional and international efforts have failed to resolve this war which has resulted in a human catastrophe.
