The spokesperson for the Opposition Forces, Bassem Al-Sheikh, stated that all preparations for the participation of citizens, protest movements, and national elites from Baghdad and other governorates in a peaceful protest of millions, tomorrow, Friday, has been completed. The protest will be held to mark the second anniversary of the October Revolution and the accompanying hundreds of victims, both dead and wounded, as well as to voice their rejection of the dominant political forces on the corruption system that clings to power. Al-Sheikh further stated that the October protest movements want to continue their protests until the election day October 10, emphasizing that it was the political forces that refused to allow the UN bodies to oversee the elections for fear of exposing violations, so they resorted to the monitoring, which does not reflect ambition.
