Syria – Denouncing Prices Hike, Qamishli People Demonstrate in Front UN Headquarter
Dozens of Qamishli people of north and east Syria demonstrated in front of the UN Headquarter in their district stigmatizing Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria decision to raise the prices of basic materials such as Fuel and bread in plus to other basic commodities, Demonstrators demanded an end to the arbitrary arrests in the city, and the necessity to announce the condition of arrested persons. Slogans refuse to include the unrecognized Autonomous Administration curriculums that children are forced to learn.
In an attempt to break up the sit-in, clashes took place between a group of the Revolutionary Youth Movement affiliated with the Democratic Union Party, Autonomous Administration against the demonstrators, , which led to the intervention of the Internal Security Forces to disengage the clashes between the two parties.
