Yemen – “The Two Rivers” city, a popular tourist attraction in Yemen

Jibla, in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen, is one of Yemeni’s historical and touristic cities, known for its distinctive architectural construction. It was built on a high rocky plateau, surrounded by mountains on all sides, and was called The Two Rivers city because it is located between two great rivers. The city is historically associated with Queen Arwa bint Ahmed Al-Sulayhi, the first queen in Islam, who made Jibla the capital of the Sulayhid state that ruled in the eleventh century AD, it includes the Queen’s mosque, tomb, palace, and ancient manuscripts, and it attracts hundreds of visitors from all over the country.
