Iraq – Elite International Muay Thai Championship in Iraq to conclude
Yesterday, Saturday, the Elite International Muay Thai Championship concluded in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq, with the 13 countries and 26 players under the age of 23 participating, with the attendance of the Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports, Adnan Darjal, and some officials in the ministry. The team competed hard at the start while the Egyptian team took home two medals, with Mahmoud Jamal winning first place and the gold medal, and Minatuallah Salah won second place and the silver medal. It should be mentioned that Muay Thai has officially become an Olympic sport beginning with the 2024 Paris Olympics, following the approval of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee, and the approval came on the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
