The Iraqi Prime Minister’s decision to hold a summit for neighboring countries’ leaders drew controversy among many who indicated the paramount importance of holding such a meeting in the current time. The summit aims at addressing threats and intervention attempts, along with the necessity to impose a tightened security grip over the borders to deter ISIS members from infiltrating into Iraq. Moreover, talks will address the economic, investment, and trade aspects. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were among the summoned leaders. It is worth mentioning that this step came after wrapping up the tripartite Summit in Baghdad where leaders of Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq discussed means to realize stability and economic collaboration between countries
