Syria- Children Wasted Talents in Displaced People Camps Need to Be Supported
Despite mastering the art of sculpturing, Abdul Haseeb was forced into abandoning his passion to provide for his 8-family member. The 17-year-old youth illustrated that he first discovered his talent in his home town Ras Al Ain. He excelled in clay modeling and carving by using primitive tools including a knife, needle, and rasp. However, after being displaced, he left his passion, given the small spaces in the refugee camp, not to mention that such craft isn’t rewarding. Haseeb shed light on the fact that numerous children are talented but they can’t hone their skills since they receive no support whatsoever and accordingly, their talents fade with time
