Iraq – Reactions to Al-Kazemi’s visit to Washington

Reactions varied among the political circles and those concerned with the Iraqi matter in Erbil, in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, about the success of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s recent visit to the United States, where some considered the visit a success and a great opportunity for the Iraqi state, while others say that there are issues related to political diplomacy and the approaching election date, as well as the issue of the US forces withdrawal, which is related to the extent of the Iraqi army’s ability on the ground amid the differences between political forces, and militia attacks targeting US interests, in addition to the extent of cooperation of neighboring countries and non-interference in Iraqi matters.
