Iraq- Grassroot Indignation Following Drinking Water Cutoff in Baghdad
Following frequent drinking water cutoffs in Baghdad, incensed citizens slammed governmental entities. Iraqi Affairs expert, Ziad Arrar attributed the water crisis to poor planning and rampant corruption among the ruling entities. From its part, officials in Baghdad municipality denied that there was any water cutoff, and if otherwise, it is mainly due to power glitches, transgressions by citizens on water grids, along with transforming a lot of agricultural lands into random residents
