The Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq began, on Wednesday, in all Iraqi governorates, to give candidates the numbers with which they will compete in the upcoming elections, which are set to be held on October 10 of this year. Polling was held in Sulaymaniyah for 63 candidates to compete for 18 seats in the upcoming elections, while independent candidates demanded that the upcoming elections be fair and transparent and that independent figures be working to serve Iraq after the political parties failed to manage the country’s matters.
