Syria – Women launch a sewing workshop to assist widows and divorced ladies in Raqqa

A group of widows in Raqqa launched a Euphrates Women’s Sewing Workshop named after the Euphrates River. Around 8 women who suffered from war and migration participate in the project, which started at the end of last year, aiming to provide a livelihood for them and their children amid grim living conditions. The workshop makes different clothes for all groups and positions, while the workers are looking forward to gaining support from international organizations interested in women’s matters, to develop the project so that it attracts a significant possible number of ladies.
