Following turbulent days of protests that rallied against conscriptions and dire humanitarian conditions along with demands to supply the city with bread and fuel, the city’s administration met dignitaries to settle the crisis among fears that such turmoil would be exploited by members affiliated with the Syrian regime. The city’s administration reiterated that it will meet the families’ demands. The public outrage was contained by a 48-curfew imposed by the military council after protesters took over the city’s checkpoints. During which, some protestors were killed and a lot were arrested by the security forces
