Quran Madrassa

Walking into the Quran madrassa in the Hodan Disctrict of Somalia is like entering a time warp. The school, which is named after Imam Shafei – one of the four Sunni Muslim legal schools of thought, still uses the centuries-old method of wooden boards to transcribe the sacred Quranic scripture.
