Syria – A competition for horses stolen by ISIS in Qamishli

In the village of Al Zahraa in the countryside of the town of Tal Hamis, southeast of the city of Qamishli, a competition for purebred Arabian horses was held, with the aim of encouraging sport and horse breeding, and the competition came after these horses suffered a lot during the period of ISIS rule over the region, as most of them were stolen at the time of ISIS. The participants said that horse competitions were organized in order to draw attention to ISIS crimes in the region, which harmed humans, lands and animals, 125 horses from all cities of the region and the Syrian governorates participated in the race.
