Iraq – A vigil against the Israeli strikes on Gaza takes place with the participation of the Palestinian ambassador

With the participation of the Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Akl, Al-Firdous Square in Baghdad witnessed a vigil in solidarity of the Palestinians, on Thursday, in which dozens of the October Revolution protesters and leaders from civil and democratic movement forces took part. Akl stressed in the vigil that the Iraqis always support the Palestinian cause, and these vigils and protests are the best evidence of that. Meanwhile, Politicians in the civil movement stated that the Palestinian uprising in Gaza, the West Bank, and other areas has shaped the resistance’s approach in its battle against the Israeli army, which happens for the first time. The participants condemned the aggression of the Israeli forces, including excessive acts of violence using heavy and internationally prohibited weapons, and threatening civil peace.
