Yemen – After a strike by sanitation workers, a national initiative in Taiz to remove garbage

After a strike by sanitation workers in the city of Taiz, in southern Yemen, to protest the lack of payment of their salaries, a number of citizens in the Jamiliyeh neighborhood took the initiative to clean the neighborhood’s streets, which became full of garbage. This initiative comes in conjunction with the Yemeni government and the local authority evading the performance of their duty to pay the salaries of the sanitation workers who come on the list of priorities among the rest of the employees in other government offices in the capital of Yemeni culture.
