Iraq: Experts: Halting ISIS Provocative Attacks Needs Revitalizing the Intelligence and Army efforts
Iraqi Strategy affairs’ experts illustrated that the Iraqi army needs to reintroduce three main axes to halt ISIS attacks including the intelligence system, the aerial monitoring, in addition to the specialized forces trained to launch preemptive attacks against ISIS. This was spurred after ISIS launched a provocative attack against the Iraqi army in Diyala Governorate. Moreover, after the ALJizzani governorate has witnessed security breaches, the Joint Operations Command in Iraq has administered the military units’ redeployment and ordered the troops to remain on high alert
