Syria- Stagnant Markets in Ramadan Due to Low Demand

Despite the fact that Ramadan brings high demand for food items, markets in Idlib are stagnant. This is mainly attributed to the soaring prices that spurred low demand. In the war-ravaged regions in north and west Syria, displaced families complain about their poor purchasing power, adding that they only purchase basic food items. Merchants made it clear that low incomes won’t cover life unbearable expenses
