Iraq – Raisin juice, a friend of a Kurdish family
Cities are known for their famous foods and juices, and so is Sulaymaniyah is known for its raisins especially in Ramadan where people tend to have its cold and natural drink. Raisins are made from dried grapes soaked in water for a day, to be soft and doughy through a threshing machine, then t is squeezed into a basket made of natural fibers from the burlap plant, to become a natural juice presented to customers in nylon bags or plastic bottles.
