Sarajeen, is one of the oldest markets in Baghdad dating back to Abbasid dynasty. It’s known for leather products as well as for the manufacturing of weapons and military mattresses, horse saddles among others. But today, the market is suffering from competition by imported products, forcing merchants to find a new way to make a living.
