Iraq: Small-Scale Projects Bring Life Back to Mosul’s Neighborhoods

After three years of liberating the war-ravaged Mosul from ISIS grip, the toll of the devastating war made going back to normal life challenging. In an attempt to bring life and stability back to Az Zanjili and Al-Shifa, Muthaberon team launched the ” Back to life” initiative to remove the rubbles and debris of 50 houses demolished during the war. The initiative is funded by USAID and will be implemented in three phases. The executive director of the initiative, Mohamed Lazem illustrated that the initiative targets 269 beneficiaries, where 20,416 cubic meters of debris and rubbles will be cleared from a total area of 10,126 square meters, by operating 24 heavy machinery and 22 twenty workers
