Iraq – Baghdad holds a forum to discuss different forms of violence against women

Civil society organizations in Iraq, Baghdad, held a forum on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with the attendance of academics, politicians and socialites. The forum discussed the rise of violence during the pandemic closure that the Iraqi government imposed to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. During the discussion, it was highlighted that women should be assigned major political positions and given justice in terms of law and find out the reasons behind the increase of her social and economic suffering. officers from the Community Police attended the forum to observe cases of women’s suffering.
