Yemen – Mortar shrapnel fired by the Houthi militias kill a child

A child died after hours of being hit by mortar shrapnel in the eastern neighborhoods of Taiz, southern Yemen. Hisham Shaif Sharaf, a 9-year-old child was held at a funeral by the people of the city, after he was hit by mortar shrapnel fired by Houthi militias located in Al-Sallal Hill, eastern of the city. Medical sources reported that 5 children were injured by the shelling of the Houthi militias, 3 of them are in critical condition. “Doctors Without Borders” stated that the random bombing by the Houthi militias resulted in admitting 5 children under 10 years old to Ath-Thawra hospital, including a 6-year-old girl.
