The Jordanians in the capital Amman are experiencing distinctive atmospheres in Ramadan at the start of the holy month through the practicing many of the rituals that get activated in this month, especially after Tarawih prayer. Amman’s streets are festooned with ornamentals in its various forms.
The Jordanians in the capital Amman are experiencing distinctive Ramadan atmosphere with the beginning of the holy month through the practicing many of the rituals that get activated in this month, such as eating sweets like velours after breakfast and drinking juices of all kinds, such as tamarind, licorice and lemon, followed by performing Tarawih prayers after evening prayers directly.
“You sleeper get up and praise the lord” is one of the words used by the Msahharati during his wandering in different parts of the Jordanian capital Amman during the month of Ramadan during sahur time where he sings by his voice, a set of hymns such as cheering, as a reminder for people to wake up to eat breakfast before dawn and to prepare themselves for the fasting of approximately sixteen hours.”
The Jordanians expressed how important it is to practice these ritual during Ramadan, especially as it has very distinctive atmospheres in Jordan.
It is worth to mention that the month of Ramadan is a month in which Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from dawn until sunset.
