Iraq- Decision-Makers’ Silence Stokes Tensions amid Iraqi Citizens

Analysts indicated that the gap between political prospects and actual facts on the ground in Iraq is wide. Political failures, reform attempts, the political spokesperson silence are all rising tensions amid citizens.  Analysts pointed out that citizens should be aware of the candidate’s electoral campaign and the extent to which it meets people needs, as the current ruling system has lost people’s confidence, especially after ignoring people’s demands during 2015-207-2019 protests. Citizens expressed their confidence in the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi’s course of action due to his painstaking efforts to change the political, economic, and social reality in Iraq
