The Iraqi Yezidis are still demanding the Iraqi government and the international community to take action on the issue of women kidnapped by ISIS, as the fate of thousands of them is unknown since ISIS dominated Sinjar district, the home of the Yazidis and the families of six thousand citizens, most of them women and children, after the fall of Mosul in mid-2014 in the hands of the organization. Experts expressed their concern about the continuous failure in the case of the kidnapped Yazidi women, especially since these women were subjected to the worst forms of torture, harassment, violence to rape and abuse by the militants of the organization.
