Yemen- Clashes between Security Officers and Gunmen resulted in Serious Material losses

On Monday, fierce clashes between security forces and gunmen broke out in (block 21) neighborhood in Al Mansura District -Aden governorate, southern Yemen. The clashes came after an armed attack on one of the security forces’ patrol, injuring one security officer. Gunmen holed up in the neighborhood houses using only light weapons and RPG rockets in their fight with the security officers. A state of consternation and intimidation dominated the residents whose houses were affected. A24 reporter was unable to interview residents from the area as they feared giving testimonies that would put them in risk.
