Iraq – Experts: Iraq’s inclusion in list of countries that pose financial risks to European Union is an unfair decision against government

Experts pointed out that the inclusion of the European Commission Iraq in the list of countries that pose financial risks to the European Union due to deficiencies in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, is an unjust and dangerous decision against the Iraqi government and its efforts in combating armed groups outside the law, noting that Iraq is now going through an advanced stage with regard to the security side and can receive very large investments, and a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives demanded that the Iraqi government negotiate with the European Union in order to remove this signal from Iraq.
