Iraq – Al-Hashimi’s death reveals attempts to take control of the country

Iraqi security expert and researcher in the affairs of armed groups Dr. Hisham al-Hashimi was killed on Monday by gunmen near his home in Ziyouna area east of Baghdad, security and medical sources reported that four gunmen driving motorcycles intercepted al-Hashimi’s car and shot him and then transferred him to Ibn Al Nafees hospital near the scene where he died, experts said that the killing of al-Hashimi reveals the attempts of Iran, armed militias and terrorist groups to control the country, which al-Hashimi was attacking previously through his research and studies that revealed about many of its activities and cells.
