Iraq – The suffering of displaced people in the camps worsens with the outbreak of Coronavirus

The Coronavirus pandemic has created a state of constant anxiety and fear for displaced people in camps, especially those suffering from chronic diseases and respiratory diseases, such as asthma, pneumonia and others, residents of Harsham Camp in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, have difficulty obtaining essential medicines and basic medical supplies, in light of the measures taken by the territorial authority to curb the outbreak of the Coronavirus, such as the imposition of a curfew that has increased the suffering of displaced persons, as well as the lack of internal and external humanitarian assistance, displaced people called on international organizations, the Iraqi government and individuals to provide food and medicine assistance and provide paper medical masks to camp residents to prevent the coronavirus.
