Iraq – Karbala demonstrators demand closing the border crossings with Iran

Demonstrators called on protest squares in the central Iraqi province of Karbala to close all border crossings with Iran, in order to protect the safety of citizens from the spread of the new coronavirus in the country, and the director of health control in Karbala, Karrar Jawad, pointed out that the crisis cell issued on Friday a decision to prevent the entry of all the arrivals from other provinces to Karbala for two weeks, in order to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus, adding that the health ministry has taken several preventive measures in the past days by examining all arrivals to the province through medical detachments deployed in control points and checkpoints.
