Yemen – Foiling a terrorist operation and demands for protection of international waterways

The spokesman of the Arab Alliance in Yemen, Brig. Gen. Turki al-Maliki, on Wednesday foiled a terrorist operation that would have targeted an oil tanker in the Arabian Sea 90 miles away from the port of Nashton in eastern Yemen, observers considered this incident a dangerous escalation that threatens navigation routes and energy transport corridors, calling for an international investigation to identify the parties behind them and stress the need to unite and intensify international efforts to address these threats to global security.
