Iraq- Supreme Committee for Issuing Fatwas holds a press conference to prevent coronavirus

The Supreme Committee for Fatwa in Kurdistan Region of Iraq held a press conference on the developments of the Coronavirus and its spread in the region, where the committee decided to reduce the period of Friday prayers, and to maintain the cleanliness of mosques and educate citizens about the prevention of the Corona virus, and the Supreme Committee for Fatwa called on citizens to adhere to health instructions to prevent the virus as a legal and religious duty and to stop Friday prayer and group prayer ceremonies in areas where the virus is spreading, In addition to stopping all religious ceremonies and ceremonies and funeral ceremonies in all regions of the Kurdistan Region, and to consider the deceased as a result of the Corona virus as martyrs in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, and the Supreme Committee urged all people who feel any symptoms of disease not to participate in Friday prayers and group prayer and the need to visit teams and medical centers in the region.
