Jordan- Borrell Without a settlement between the parties concerned no peace plan will succeed

The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell confirmed that the European Union supports Jordan’s efforts to achieve stability in the region and that without a compromise between the parties concerned, no peace plan will succeed, adding that the Palestinian crisis is the most complex in human history. For his part, Safadi stressed Jordan’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, which is a just and comprehensive peace plan that meets the rights of the Palestinian people in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and in order to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, he also praised the support that the European Union provides Jordan with in both economic development in the Kingdom and in terms of helping Jordan deal with the refugee issue, during a press conference held by Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell at the Foreign Ministry in Amman.
