Baghdad- Iraq 01/02/2020
“Sadrist movement” followers reinstalled their tents in most of the squares of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, since yesterday night; a week after they left at the request of the leader of the movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, their return comes after a tweet by Sadr yesterday in which he called on his supporters to go to the sit-in and protest peacefully in Baghdad in coordination with the security forces to pressure the politicians to form the new government, this comes at a time when Iraqis are awaiting the disclosure of the candidate for the position of new prime minister by political blocs, according to the deadline set by the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and that ends today, Saturday, and in contrast to him, Saleh will choose who he deems appropriate, as indicated in his letter to the blocs.
