Iraq – Protesters accuse current political class of diverting billions to Iran

Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, today witnessed the continuation of popular demonstrations that began in early October last year, demonstrators denounced the killing and suppression of peaceful protesters and the arrest of activists and media workers in order to end the protests, stressing that they remain in the squares until achieving their demands, as they stressed their adherence to the demand to head the government by an independent figure away from political parties and blocs, considering that the assumption of a party figure as prime minister will serve the interests of the current political class only, which took their money according to them and donated them to Iran and left the Iraqi people without providing basic services such as water, electricity, medicine and food.
