Iraq- Sadr’s followers withdraw from Al-Tahrir, and protesters confirm their continued movement

The protesters in Al-Tahrir Square emphasized the continuation of their peaceful protests demanding economic and political reforms despite attempts to foil it by protesters belonging to certain parties. This assertion came against the background of the Sadrist protesters removing their tents from Al-Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, after the leader of the movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called for the withdrawal of the sit-in squares completely.
