Jordan – Foreign Minister stresses on the importance of relations with Iraq

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi stressed on the importance of relations between Jordan and Iraq during his meeting this afternoon at the Headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mohammed al-Halbousi, he also stressed on Jordan’s permanent support for Iraq while standing by it in all circumstances to maintain its security and stability. Safadi noted the historical ties between Jordan and Iraq and Jordan’s appreciation of the iraqi authorities’ victory over armed groups. The two sides also discussed ways and steps for cooperation in conjunction with the escalation in the region. For his part, Al-Halbousi praised Jordan’s attitude towards Iraq and its continued support, pointing to the strengthening of cooperation at all levels between the two countries.
